HELLO WORLD
My name is Adrienne and I am an advocate, artist, adventurer, and actor originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I have a B.S. in Design, Innovation, & Society (Product Design) with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Ecological Economics, Values, & Policy from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York – a mouthful, I know! I fly planes, ride horses, make art, do wushu kung fu, advocate for the environment, write, act, and hold my breath underwater for over 3 minutes at a time. I am a world citizen and experienced traveler, and I am excited to share my creative passions with you and to promote environmental action, social responsibility, and global community awareness. Let’s make things happen!
ART BY ADRIENNE
Whether you have one cat or five, or even just a pet fish – I would be happy to help design and create something just for you! Animals are my favorite to draw and paint and it would be an honor to be your artist!
My artwork has been turned into stationery, stickers, notebooks, posters, tattoos, t-shirts, tableware, and more. I’m always happy to collaborate on ideas!
Check out my portfolio (click ART on the menu at the top), or feel free to click BOOK NOW (below) to be taken immediately to the Animal Art page (also listed underneath the ART section of the menu). Feel free to also check out recent works or sketches on my Instagram @adriennewilson808. Thank you for supporting a local Hawaii artist! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Advocate.
If I could leave one mark on the world it would be to help solve global issues through outreach. I have been lucky to have had many opportunities to make that change happen, like working with the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, the Smithsonian Institute, and volunteering with Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots program, the Ocean Conservancy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s Riverkeeper, the 2041 Antarctica Foundation, and the Surfrider Foundation.
I have also directed my own projects like creating the RPI EcoPrincess Festival (with a helpful sponsorship from Ben and Jerry’s), starting my own anti-shark fin soup campaign in Singapore, and designing eco-education festival exhibitions for the Syracuse Zoo and the U.S. Navy. Since 2012 I have also presented in front of thousands of people at schools and business conferences worldwide about the environment and design thinking. I have also had the great honor to be International Year of the Reef’s Young Marine Biologist of the Year (2008).
Artist. (and Actor!)
I have always been drawn to creative projects whether it is drawing, painting, design, storytelling, or just straight up inventing. My work has been featured in exhibitions stateside and internationally, in documentaries, and has even won a few competitions. Recently, I have expanded my artistic side into acting and TV/movie production, and it’s been super fun!
Adventurer.
Due to the nature of my childhood, I have spent much of my life traveling extensively and living overseas often – I have explored all 7 continents. Because of this I like to think that I have a global mindset. But my adventures don’t just stop with global exploration. I am always coming up with and working on all sorts of different projects.
I was on my college’s competitive equestrian team and was the president of a Juggling & Unicycling Club (I do not know how to juggle). I also worked as an industrial engineer for the world’s second-largest pharmaceutical company and have also been a journalist for my state’s top distributed newspaper. I am a former Miss Syracuse (NY) and Miss Nuuanu (HI) for Miss America and I have also served my community as Miss Waikiki, Miss North Shore, Miss Central Oahu and Miss Excelsior (NY) for Miss USA, as well as Miss Hawaii for Miss Earth, and Miss Hawaii and Miss USA for Miss Mermaid International. I used my reign(s) to collect scholarship money, fundraise for local and national charities like the Children’s Miracle Network, and championed SEA of Change.
In addition, I also masquerade as a real-life professional mermaid! Meet: Mermaid Arcana. I am an avid freediver with a 3:30 breath hold and an 82ft dive record. I love exploring wrecks underwater and am studying underwater photography! I truly believe that you can make an adventure out of anything – as long as you are learning – and that’s definitely what I want to spend the rest of my life doing.
Thanks for stopping by!
