How It Works
As an animal lover (I currently have two cats, a lot of fish, and a horse-best-friend), I understand that every individual animal has their own story and personality. I bring out these special and unique characteristics in my art – whether they have fins, wings, tails, fur, scales, paws, or claws.
Let me get to know you and your animal companion(s)! At this stage I want to hear about your vision for this art piece. We discuss the idea and come up with a basic contract. An invoice for a deposit is created and I will collect reference photos from you to work from. I have an optional survey I can send to find out more about your relationship with your pet(s) and what you want to highlight.
After the deposit is paid I will create rough mockups for the pet portrait – showing you different art styles (if applicable) and coming up with basic ideas of placement and pose. You are free to submit styles of art that have resonated with you that I can integrate into your pet’s portrait (ex: portraits of pets in business suits), or I can be given artistic liberty to come up with something unique on my own.
THE FINAL RENDER
Finally, after the mockups have been agreed upon, a final render will take 1-2 weeks, depending on the medium being used. I do take communication with my clients very seriously and I will try to be available to questions and concerns as I can be throughtout this entire process. A final invoice will be sent to the client alongside shipping information before the piece is sent out for delivery.
